We need test subjects again….this time for Didgeridoo HQ our new online community. We’re looking for 100 test subjects all up.
The goal of Didgeridoo HQ is to create a community of passionate didgeridoo players, from beginners, to advanced players to professional musicians where you can play, connect and share all things didgeridoo!
We’re hoping Didge HQ will become a place where you can connect with other didge players all around the world, share tips, advice and information as well as provide a place to promote things like events, local workshops and didge related products and services.
To register your interest, fill in your details at the link below and we’ll send you an invite link in about a week (we’ll probably have more than 100 people though so get in quickly)
Join us at the shop on Sunday 18 March at 630pm when our boy Keyaki takes the stage for another Didgeridoo Breath concert with his mad wicked custom made spider didge with xylophone & cajon combo.
Doors open at 630pm and we kickoff the tunes at 7pm!
Again we’ll aim to livestream the concert so long as our technology is up to the task – we’ll post updates on our Facebook page when we’re about to kickoff and you can catch the concert (and past concerts) on our Livestream page on the Didge Breath website.
If you are near Melbourne this Saturday 3rd March, you must come to the Didgeridoo Festival at Mia Mia gallery in Templestowe!
Didgeridoo Breath will be present and we’ll have a competition going on to win goodies! Sanshi will be there to meet everybody, please drop in and say G’day!!!
The festival runs from 11am-10pm and of course there’ll be plenty of live music, fun and antics!
We’re having a concert at the shop this Friday, 20th January at 7pm. Si from Wild Marmalade is in town so he’ll be joining us!
If you’re not in Perth then join us on the livestream – the livestream address is http://livestream.com/didgeridoobreath. Our past concerts are available to watch on Livestream too so worth checking them out!
Tickets for the events are $12 and available at the shop, call us on 08-9430-6009 for more info.
We were totally stoked to have didgeridoo player Robert Dann drop by the store last week after getting back from Europe where he attended world youth day events in Portugal, Spain & France.
Robert is an accomplished didge player and has been in a handful of movies and TV shows including the movie Bran Nue Dae. He has even performed for the Pope three times!
Check out the video below where he gives us a quick round up of his trip and plays a couple of quick tunes on the didge.

About Circular Breathing
Circular breathing is undoubtedly the most sought after didgeridoo technique. It’s what every beginner didgeridoo player wants to be able to do… NOW!
Some people think it is a mystical technique that you can be blessed with, others think that it is something that naturally comes after you have been playing for a long time. Neither of these are true.
The fact is, circular breathing is a series of simple physical actions that anyone can learn. In these lessons, we break the circular breathing down into small steps. Be sure to practice each step until it’s easy, then move onto the next. This is the fastest way to learn the circular breathing technique.
It might take an hour to get it… a day… or even a month. If you persist and follow our steps, you WILL be circular breathing!

“The preview lessons available on Didgeridoo Dojo are great – very clear, easy to follow and just the right length. And, of course, Sanshi is such a great character that he makes them all fun to watch. I wish this had been available when I first started learning, but it’s never too late to review some good lessons. I can’t wait to see more!”
